Everything happens in your browser: the image is never uploaded. Twitch asks for square PNGs; each manual-upload file should be under 25 KB (we warn you if not), and a single square image from 112 px to 4,096 px under 1 MB also works with Twitch's auto-resize.
How to use the emote resizer
- Choose an image (a square PNG with transparency is ideal).
- Pick emote or badge sizes and fit: inside with padding, or fill and crop.
- Check the light and dark previews, especially the smallest size.
- Download each PNG and upload it in Creator Dashboard → Viewer Rewards → Emotes.
Emote design tips
Test at 28 px first: thick outlines, one clear expression and little text survive the downscale. Twitch also accepts a single large square image (112 to 4,096 px, under 1 MB) and resizes it, but hand-made small sizes look sharper.
